Rajjaprapha Golf Course – Surat Thani

Rajjaprapha-Golf-courseRajjaprapha Golf Course which is pronounced (Rat-cha-pra-pa ) is located deep inside the Khao Sok National Park about midway between Koh Samui and Phuket – two and a half hours from Phuket, 90 minutes from Surat Thani and about two hours from the Donsak Ferry Terminal where ferries from Samui arrive and depart.

Built by the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand in the shadow of the massive Rajjaprapha Dam and the huge lake behind it, the course is surrounded by huge limestone mountains and the area is often referred to as the “Guilin of Thailand” due to its similarity with the famous tourist spot in China.
The course was built in 2000 but has recently been renovated and is in excellent condition with some very challenging holes and plays 6577 yards off the Blue Tees. There are some large elevation changes and unless you are very fit we would advise against trying to walk – carts are available but we recommend you book in advance.

How to get there?

The Rajjaprapha Golf Course can be reached from Samui or Phuket, or by direct flight to Surat Thani. There course has good accommodation, but there is no alternative accommodation close by. Before or after your stay at the Rajjaprapha Golf Course you can travel onwards to Phuket overland, or by ferry boat to the tropical Island of Samui.
