Distance to the front, center, and back and shot distance are delivered to the palm of your hand with the Yardage Pro XG Golf GPS device. Designed to make your game smarter for fewer strokes, the compact Yardage Pro unit stores up to 10 courses with hole-by-hole detail, and its large 2.1-inch display with a backlight makes reading and accessing distances effortless. Finally, the Yardage Pro is waterproof so you can use it in any weather conditions without worrying.
The Yardage Pro GPS is accurate within two yards, offering the best accuracy available for the game–and the same degree of accuracy as any other golf GPS devices on the market. Unlike a laser rangefinder, the Yardage Pro GPS allows you to determine the distance to objects that are not in your line of sight, providing you with distances to the green that are difficult to get with laser rangefinders. With rangefinders you can overshoot the green and struggle to hold the rangefinder steady. The Yardage Pro GPS gives you immediate feedback so you won’t have to worry about holding up play and your concentration can remain on the game.
The Bushnell Yardage Pro allows you to store up to 10 golf courses at a time on one device. A membership to iGolf.com gives you access to the world’s largest golf course database, allowing you to download up to 100 courses yearly, that all can be synced to your Yardage Pro through a simple USB connection. The Bushnell Yardage Pro offers you the birds eye view of the course so your play can be more deliberate, accurate, and successful.
Using Bushnell Yardage Pro Sync and the iGolf Database:
Bushnell and iGolf have partnered to provide Bushnell Yardage Pro users with the world’s largest, most accurate database of GPS course files available. A free membership on iGolf.com enables you to track your handicap, catch up on golf headlines, and find reviews of your favorite course. A paid membership with a low one-year subscription fee allows you to download and save up to 100 GPS course files annually.
A one-year membership contract with iGolf allows you to download and save any available golf courses onto your computer to use with the Yardage Pro. Since all golf course files are stored on your computer you can easily swap course files on and off the Yardage Pro as needed. The currency of the information on the iGolf website is updated regularly with any renovations or changed holes so you have access to the most up to date information possible.
Locate golf courses on the iGolf database using a simple search tool–just enter one or two keywords within the course name to produce a list of results. An advanced search option is available to narrow results further as necessary. After you have located your golf course in the iGolf database, you will see the GPS Enabled area of the screen. The program will let you know if Front/Center/Back measurements, Custom Points with measurements for the hazards on the course, and Course Images for each individual green are available.
Transferring downloaded golf courses to your Yardage Pro from your PC is easy. Simply open the Bushnell Sync Application, connect the Yardage Pro to the USB port on the computer, and power up the unit. Select the golf course that you want to transfer off of the computer, click send, and you are done.

They don’t tell you when you pay $$$ for this little unit that it does not work until you get it out of the box, hook it up and then you have to cough up another $40 for an “annual membership upgrade”. You cannot download one GPS course unless you do this. The so-called “Free Membership” is worthless. So you end up having to pay almost $200. Better off to have bought a scope. This is like someone selling you the razor and then when you want blades, they failed to mention that would be extra. Suggest reading the fine print…but there wasn’t any.

I received this device and tried to install it in my new Windows Vista 64 computer. It comes with Vista 64 drivers. Don’t try this yourself at home. It is hazardous to your health and will not work. After numerous attempts, de-installs and re-installs it did not work. I felt stupid when I read other reviews that said it would not work on Vista 64, packaged it up and got a return ticket from Amazon. I decided to call Bushnell support in the morning. The tech was very seasoned and helped me to install the device in about 30 minutes after deleting Java and reinstalling it and opening just the right file in the right order, which is like assembling a trick jigsaw puzzle. But he was an expert…I’m sure he has a lot of experience. The Bushnell tech support was awesome. The guy was good and believe me he needs to be. I easily downloaded a few courses and have used the device a couple rounds now. I think its a nice little device for the price and helps me enormously with the yardage. I played 18 holes yesterday and it worked flawlessly and was still at 80% charge.
The installation instructions are the worst I have ever seen, a real nightmare. My brother worked for a GPS company for a year and tells me these devices have an incredible markup. For the low price of this device and the bare bones info it provides on the course, I am satisfied. It’s more than I had before and helps with club selection. I’m happy I kept it.

For the price that I paid for, for the size, for the information that I get, for the fact that I just charge the battery in it and not replace it every other time….does not get better then this. Holds 10 Golf Course at a time, you can add or delete as many as you want. Priceless.

This model was very easy and fun to use the first time I tried it. I was worried I would have to spend a lot of time during the round just trying to figure out how to navigate with it. But, that wasn’t the case. My only problem the first time out was not knowing how to access information about custom points on the course. The manual doesn’t explain this. Afterwards, I guessed the SCREEN button might be the secret and sure enough that is where you get the data about custom points. The custom point abbreviations are simple to understand, too. The two best things about using the unit are eliminating the time and hassle of finding yardage markers and pacing off distances and the best plus is tracking shot distances. You really do need to know how far you hit each club to use yardage data to the fullest in planning your shots. Better players might need more information and features. But, for a once-per-week hacker, like me, the Neo is perfectly suited and an affordable little gadget you will enjoy having.

I had nothing but problems with this product. I was unable to download the courses I needed and the manufacturer was not much help. And there is a yearly fee you must pay to continue to load golf courses. I returned the product and purchased a different brand and it worked fine.
